Sami Khedira joined Spanish giants Real Madrid and Rafinha left for Italian side Genoa last year. The Bavarian giants have been able to sign Rafinha this summer but have missed out on the opportunity to sign the former Stuttgart
midfielder, Sami Khedira.
Hoeness claimed that it was Louis Van Gaal’s decision not to sign the duo as the Dutchman thought they would be surplus to requirements. He added that Bayern had done the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 and agreed terms with Schalke and Stuttgart for a possible
transfer.
“Last year the coach did not want any new players, and we had served him Khedira and Rafinha on a silver platter. This year, however, has been a normal year when it comes to transfers,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The President insisted that it will take the club at least six to seven years to complete the payments for Allianz Arena. He claimed that once the payments are made, the club will definitely invest in the team but was confident
that the current team is well capable of winning trophies.
The former Bayern Munich player also stressed on the importance of qualifying for the Champions League as it would help financially.
“Probably and hopefully we will have entirely paid for our stadium in six or seven years. Then we can invest all the money in the team. If we do not qualify for the Champions League, we will not make a profit,” he concluded.
