The Bayern Munich President feels that his side can lift all three trophies this season despite a disappointing start to the second-half of the campaign.
Uli Hoeness believes that Bayern Munich can complete a treble this season despite their inconsistent run since the winter break. He stated that the Reds possess one of the best line-ups in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 and will definitely return to
winning ways in the future games.
The President mentioned that Bayern were unlucky against Basel in their UEFA Champions League game but will turn things around in the return fixture at Allianz Arena.
The Bavarian giants lost the first-leg of their Champions League knock-out stage 1-0 to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Basel-c39079 away from home. This means that Jupp Heynckes’ men will need to register a two-goal win over the Swiss outfit in the second-leg.
Hoeness insisted that his players are determined to get things back on track and Bayern can win the UEFA Champions League, Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal at the end of the campaign.
While talking to sports website, bild.com, the former Bayern Munich attacker further added: "We created a tremendous amount of opportunities [against Basel] and remain on course for all titles."
The President also commented on the incident when Franck Ribery refused to shake his manager’s hands following his substitution in the final stages of the game against Basel. He confirmed that things are back to normal between
the duo especially after the Frenchman scored twice against Schalke at the weekend in his team’s 2-0 win.
"Before the game I had a good conversation with Franck. It was necessary, as it seems [to have been] fruitful," Hoeness added.
On the other hand, Ribery also confirmed that there is no bad blood between him and his manager. He admitted that there were differences but they have been sorted out.
"We had a good talk at the hotel. We had a lot of negativity and fear. Since I often play all 90 minutes, the coach can replace me sometimes. But we need to communicate!" Ribery concluded.
Bayern are currently second in the Bundesliga with 48 points and have already qualified for the semi-finals of the German Cup where they will take on Borussia Monchengladbach.
