I hate Absolute and have been playing at Poker Stars and am thinking of joining Ultimate Bet and making a deposit. Any advice? What's it like playing there?

  1. Dude, save your money and save your sanity.

STAY AWAY FROM U.B.  IT IS A REALLY SHITA$S SITE!!!!!!!

  2. Ultimate Bet has gone down the tubes as far as I'm concerned.  I think 40% less workout is generous -- I think it is more like 70% less.  Based on my play, I should have worked out almost $10 in bonus money, but I am nowhere near where I work out $5.  They have also increased cashout from $25 to $50.

I don't know what idiots are running UB, but they sure have gone down hill.  Between site freezes, getting the blind 6 hands in a row when moving to another table in tournaments, and the crappy way they treat their players, it really has become the pits of the poker world.

Oh, and I have yet to have them actually answer an email (other than the autoresponder).  I urge you not to go to Ultimate Bet as you will not be very happy.

  3. Ultimate Bet is good, some like it, some don't.  Full Tilt is another great site, as well as Doyle's Room.  They all take ePassporte, so if you have an account with them, then you can make an easy deposit.  Check http://dagus-statistics.com/reviews.htm for a list of detailed reviews as well as bonus codes for each site's current bonus.  Hope this helps.

  4. I played at UB for five years, and at the beginning of March I pulled out all my money.  They have gotten worse and worse, with their new work-out and Ulitimate Policy probably one of the worst on the internet.

It had become so unpleasant playing there that after they instituted the new "rules" I just couldn't stand it any more.

I see more negative comments about UB than positive.

Full-Tilt is a nice site and they have great graphics.

  5. it is only worth playing there if you have rakeback

use http://www.rakeupdate.com/signup/rakesav... to get up to 30% rakeback at ultimate bet

without rakeback it is definitely not worth it

  6. My husband sometimes plays there.  When he does, I hear more cursing and swearing and yelling.  He thinks the cards are the worst.  He's only staying there until he can work out his last bonus money.

  7. If you enjoy playing poker, don't play at UB because it is no fun whatsoever any more.  They've done everything they can to s***w the small player.

And c'mon...a site that pumps Helmuth?  That says it all!!!!

  8. I would say stay away from UB.  They have recently made changes that seem to upset a lot of people -- including me -- in the way you work out bonus money and acquire ultimate points.    Depending on some stupid level, you have to play a certain number of raked hands to get an ultimate point (and you need 100 to work out $5).  The thing is, if you don't play the required number of raked hands, you don't get credit for the ones you've played.  Let's say you need to play 20 hands, if you play 19, no credit, no accumulation, NO NOTHING.  And there is no place to keep track of your raked hand -- all you get is a little blurb telling your when you've earned it, but as most people don't pay attention to chat, particularly at multiple tables, you can be royally screwed easily.

The software is very unreliable, and if you have an older operating system, you will find the site freezes (usually when you have 4 aces and can't call, bet, or raise).

The graphics are bad, and they have done away with everything that was even moderately a nice feature.

In essence, UB has  done everything they can to make it hard for you to earn ultimate points or work out your bonus money.  I calculated that under their new, hard-to-fathom system, you are working out about 40% (or more) LESS than under their own system.  They think their players are stupid and if they make their system confusing enough, people will just blindly play and not understand they are being royally screwed.

Ultimate Bet used to be okay.  Stay with Poker Stars, try Full Tilt (nice people there, too, and way better pros), or try one of the sites that other people here have suggested.

The vast majority of people say stay away, and I add my voice to that.

It is not an enjoyable site.  The players are whacko.  If you are a tight player UB simply doesn't want you.  In fact, with their new system, it seems to me they really don't want anyone.

Oh, and, if you don't like getting rivered, don't play there.  If I could have bet a penny for every time I predicted I would get rivered at UB, I'd be really rich right now -- don't know what it is about their card generation software, but it seems to be the worst of all the poker sites I've ever played at.

  9. I would suggest FullTilt, Doyle's Room, Intertops, or Bookmaker.com  I play at all of them for different reasons, your personal preference will determine which you prefer.  Here are some bonus codes for you as well

    FullTilt - RIVER88

    DoylesRoom - RIVER88

    Bookmaker.com - FREEMONEY20

  10. Garbage.  Top to bottom.  They are the same ownership as Absolute poker, the site that got caught cheating last year.  Customer service is great when making a deposit.  After that they absolutely suck ****.  Graphics are terrible, not much action.  Why would you want to leave ps?

  11. At one time or another I have played on just about every online site there is.  There are only two now that offer a wide range of games, both in types of poker and limits for players in the U.S., they are, ....drum roll please.......fulltilt and pokerstars.  If you aren't in the U.S. party poker is almost as good (since they booted us their tournaments and ring games have suffered, I haven't checked lately though).

I personally don't like UB or Absolute, they don't spread a variety of games and they don't have the big tournaments  like fulltilt or poker stars.   I like to play games other than nlhe both as ring games and as tournaments and fulltilt spreads stud high, stud 8ob, plo, plo8ob, omaha high, omaha 8ob, razz, ha, horse, hose and a few others.  Poker star spreads those and 5 card draw and triple draw.  You never have a problem finding a game to fit your budget and your likes on either of those sites.

I prefer fulltilt and my g/f prefers poker stars, but for the reasons above, either are better than all the others.

  12. pokerstars is better,,, but if you want to ty it out in ultimate bet and looking for deposit bounses go to this site

site: it gives you a capital for real money or you have another option of choosing deposit bonusses(where u will deposit real money)

    http://www.pokerstrategy.com/?referer=bl...

just pass a quiz and they give you 50 $ for any poker platforms like pokerstars, fultilt, titan poker , partypoker and lots lots more you dont need to invest your money, no need to deposit, and no need to give account numbers or bank details

and dont forget to enter blacklabel77 as the referer

  13. Try http://bettingwise.hit.bg/FulltiltPoker....

Its better than ultimate for many reasons, you can read the review and you will see.

  14. Lame.  Don't bother.  Just pulled out my money.  Their last downgrade really sucked.

  15. Ultimate Bet sucks big time.  They are part of Absolute.  Their new "Ultimate Raise" BS is designed to keep you from working out your bonus dollars.

Stay at Poker Stars or try Full Tilt.
