I'm taking an AP Bio course in high school and i had a 100 question home test to do I did 99 of them and can't get the last one! Please help?

Question:

The proximate causes of behavior are interactions with the enviroment, but behavior is ultimately shaped by?

a. hormones

b. evolution

c. sexuality

d. pheromones

e. the nervous system

I'm think either A or B but i don't know, help please? If you can give an explaination that would be great.

  1. I am pretty sure it's evolution. Evolution makes it possible that organisms behave in specific ways to interact with the environment for fulfilling evolutionary purposes such as survival. Therefore, behaviors are ultimately evolved.

    You can actually ask others for your take home TEST? I guess it's an open-booked test, then... Anyway, I NEVER meant to help you to cheat.
