Ultimate witch costume for halloween. Any ideas?

I'm slowly building a really intricate witch costume for halloween, and I was hoping to get some ideas for details. For example: I am going to cross-stitch a runic alphabet around the bottom of the outer skirt. Any other thoughts? Thanks.

1.Black mini skirt

2.purple and black t-shirt

3.Black high heels

4.witches hat with purple ribbon round it

5.Finnaly a black and purple cape

That's a good start.

Just a suggestion here and there.  How about a black velvet drawstring bag with a Pentacle in black satin stitch.  Black lace gloves?  Black pointy shoes with a quarter-moon in silver glitter?  A purse in the shape of a grimoire with various symbols on the cover.  (Or actually carry a grimoire.)   Have you seen the movie Practical Magic.  There are some good ideas in the movie.  Your outfit sounds too classy to wear the red and white striped socks they wore when they all jumped off the roof of their house.

Other than that everyone has some pretty good ideas.  Put them all together and you should have quite an outfit.  Well, OK, be a little selective.  You want people to be in awe, not laughing at the aw-ful costume!
