You know how on bridges, like the walkway bridges, there are things to hold onto when you cross? What are those things called? I'm not talking about the huge bridges, like the Brooklyn Bridge or anything.

My question is what are the handholds called? As you cross a walkway bridge you hold onto something as you cross.

  2. The rail on rail inside bridges at about 30 inches off the ground  is called a handrail. They're there to help people avoid falling.
