Everyone seems to dislike the name Natalie because the nick name would be Nat. Well you could always make it Lee. When I have a little girl, I will prolly name her Natalie. What do you think of the name Natalie?

  1. differnt but appropriate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezr...

  2. one of my friends names is Natalie. I call her Nat. lol i like the name

  3. Natalie is ok, its a common name but its nice and it works well. your right people will call her Nat, all the Natalie's i have known have been called Nat for short and personally i really hate it. but i don't like Lee either, that's a guys name, why not Natalia then her nickname could be Lia, both are very beautiful and feminine

  4. I love it!!! It's really cute and you are right! Lee is cute too so it all works=]]

  5. I personally think that Natalie is a fine name and whats wrong with the nickname Nat??? and your nickname doesnt always have to be short for your name...My oldest son's name is Trenton and his nickname is Binkie...my step sons name is Colby James so they call him CJ and my youngest sons name is Maison and we call him Monkey... SO really what I am saying is dont pick a name based on the stero typical nicknames because that doesnt have to be what you call them.

    I hope this helps

  6. Why don't you spell it differently:

Nataleigh-- that way leigh (lee) is the dominant part of the name.

  7. it nice i like Natalia better its different

  8. Pretty name. It's also the name of my daughter's classmate.

  9. I like the name Natalie, but i love Natalia. nickname could be Lia.

  10. I love it. Don't listen to them.

  11. I LOVE the name Natalie!  Why doesn't anybody like it?  To me, it sounds like someone who would be in charge and have lots of friends, but was really nice to everyone.  I don't know why.  And NOTHING is wrong with Nat.  I call my friend Natalie Nat!

  12. I have never heard anyone not like that name! It's beautiful, classic, and elegant. I love your choice.

With nicknames for ANY name, you can just discourage them. I have a friend named Natalie, and her parents and siblings would just correct anyone who called her Nat - and that was it.

Same with I have a brother named Andrew - my parents never wanted him to be called Andy.

My son has a friend named Thomas, who has never been Tom or Tommy.
