Uma has cubes which come in 2 different sizes.She makes a stack of 7 small cubes and 5 large cubes.?

The two stacks are the same height.A large cube is 6mm taller than the small cube. what is the height of one stack in millimeters? What is the formula or solution to finding the answer? please write it on the forum.

7x=5x+30

-5x -5x

2x=30

x=15mm

y=21mm

stacks = 105mm

Let x be the height of the small cube.  Since the large cube is 6mm taller than the small cube, x+6 is the height of the large cube.

The height of 7 small cubes equals the height of 6 large cubes.

7*(x)=5*(x+6)

7x=5x+30

2x=30

x=15mm

The small cubes are 15mm and the large cubes are 21mm
