http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sialkot-c842 Stallions’ fast bowler, Umaid Asif, is happy with his performance in the recently concluded Faysal Bank Super 8 T20 Tournament 2012, but feels that there is still a lot of room for improvement.
The lanky fast bowler plays his domestic cricket for the National Bank of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and the Sialkot Stallions. His performances over the last couple of seasons have been consistently good in domestic cricket, and many pundits locally are predicting a bright
future for him.
Umaid is currently 27 and his age may become a barrier for him to play international cricket. However, he is a fit individual and with a good height, Umaid can surely make a mark at the highest stage of the game.
During the Super 8 tournament, Umaid played all the matches for the Stallions, and helped his team to clinch the title. He bowled with good pace and bounce throughout the event, even though the tracks were suited for stroke-play.
While speaking to Pakpassion, Umaid expressed his happiness over the victory and feels that he was able to do well in the event because of the trust shown in him by the captain, and senior players. He said that the players enjoyed each other’s success and
that was the reason behind the brilliant showing.
Umaid said, "Yes it was a great achievement. Our team gelled well and played like champions. I am thankful to the captain and the whole team who have given me lot of confidence. When you get that much support from your team mates, it becomes very easy to
perform."
Talking about his own performance, the lanky fast bowler was positive but not satisfied, as he feels that he could have bowled better on some occasions. However, Umaid is looking to improve his game on a consistent basis.  
"Honestly speaking, I am very happy but not fully satisfied. I thought, I bowled well throughout the tournament but could have done even better. I am learning from every outing and I hope this experience helps me in the future," he added.
