The belligerent young http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 batsman, Umar Akmal, feels that the ongoing fast track camp has helped him a lot in overcoming flaws in his batting and that he is now a more responsible batsman.
While talking to media reporters on Sunday, the youngest of Akmal brothers, reckoned that he has learnt from his mistakes in the past is now ready to play more responsible cricket for the country in the future. The 21-year-old explosive batsman is now looking
forward to the upcoming Zimbabwe tour to prove his claims.
"The coaching we have got in the camp has helped a lot,” said Akmal while talking to the media today, “and I am confident that on our next assignment in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Griffith-c919 innings to restore confidence of everyone in my batting," he further added.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has organised a three-week long training camp for its players in Lahore. 12 batsman and 10 fast bowlers have been invited to practice in the camp under supervision of chief selector http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohsin-Hasan-Khan-c77595 and former Test players Sarfaraz
Nawaz and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chaudhri-Ijaz-Ahmed-c50531.
Pakistan cricket team’s head coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Waqar-Younis-Maitla-c96193, was also scheduled to supervise the players in the camp but he delayed his arrival in Lahore citing his wife’s illness.
Younis was scheduled to reach Lahore on July 8 but he informed the board on Friday that he would not be available before July 18, as his wife is not well.
"He has to take care of some domestic issues as his wife is ill. So he has asked the board to extend his leave by ten more days," a PCB official had told media reporters last week.
Now by the time the head coach will reach Pakistan , the camp would be in its finals stages.
The PCB chief selector, Mohsin Khan, said that Pakistan had immense talent and all that the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Young-c98322 players lack is proper guidance. The ongoing camp has been organised for this purpose.
