Umar Akmal says he would not change his attacking game - Cricket News Update
The hard-hitting top order batsman of Pakistan, Umar Akmal, on Sunday told the media reporters that he is learning to stay longer at the crease; however he said that he would not change his aggressive batting style.
The 21-year-old prolific batsman, who is eying a comeback to Pakistan’s Test squad, is rated as one of the most exciting emerging players the country has seen recently.

However, he said that he was not disappointed at being dropped from the squad and is enjoying the domestic cricket, learning to stay at the crease for longer periods.
“I am not disappointed at being dropped from the Test squad,” said Umar while talking to the media reporters today. “I am enjoying myself in domestic cricket and I am trying to occupy the crease for longer periods because that is what the selectors and team management want me to do,” he added further.
The 21-year-old right handed batsman made it clear that though playing for the national side is his top priority and he is working really hard to strengthen his position in the Pakistani squad, he will never compromise on his natural game.
“I like to play positively all the time and attack and that will not change,” said Umar who has played 16 Tests and 45 One Day Internationals for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 so far. “But yes, now I am learning to be more selective in my shots and to wait at the crease and frustrate the bowlers,” he added further.
