I am looking for a umbrella stroller or lightweight one that can fit my 42lb 3 year old who is turning 4 in Sept. This kid is big, not fat, but thick. His father is 6ft 5in, so he is just a solid kid. This is for when we go to the boardwalk or to a flea market when he can't walk as much as us. We have that jeep umbrella stroller and he can barely fit his butt in the seat. All the ones I've seen are too narrow. I need help. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars either. Thanks

  1. We had the same issue with our little guy, and after much research, I found a stroller called MacClaren. It is fabulous!!! There are several different models and they hold children up to 55 lbs! Best of all, they are just like the cheaper umbrella strollers, but much more sturdy and better made. I believe the one we have cost around $100 but it was WELL worth it. We got ours at Babies R Us. Go on their website and check them out!

  2. try Target...I got one there back in March..pretty cheap

  3. at his age you are better off getting a wagon. I know what you mean about big kids, my son was the same way. He's 6 now and 4'4"!
