  1. There actually is a medical condition where this can occur, but it's unusual and not due to that.

However, there is a possibility it can lower your testosterone levels, and that's really not something you might want to fool with. It doesn't happen to omnivores. You don't say your age, but maybe you have lower testosterone... something you can check with a blood test at your doctor's.

  2. Drinking soya milk is NOT going to make you grow b***s! LOL! Soy cannot 'feminize' your body or personality. Your genetics play a huge role with how your body develops.

And about the muscle thing- soya may help you gain muscle- it contains all of the essential amino acids meaning the protein content is comparable to that of meat and eggs.

(The contoversy comes from the fact that soy contains weak compounds that mimic estrogen in the body. If you enjoy soy moderately you needn't worry).

  3. We read in Men's Health that it isn't good for men to eat too much soy. I can't recall many details of the article, but I do remember that. Try googling it.

  4. The thing about estrogen and testosterone is that they are both cleaved from the same prohormone, and estrogen itself is a precursor to testosterone. It is not the presence of estrogen in humans that specificaly allows for the development of b*****s etc...but the absence of specific enzymes that allows for the manipulation of estrogen into testosterone during specific stages of development (one being 5-alpha-reductase). Further, most of these effects (while they can be stimulated by careful allopathic treatment) are the result of organizational effects of development (prenatal development), not the activational effects (after birth). In other words, you should be just fine, but I encourage you to contact a physician for ultimate confirmation.

  5. No. Estrogens in food do not affect humans.

  6. You will turn into a soybean plant. :-)

It's plant estrogen not human estrogen. Meat eaters eat animal estrogen all the time and that's closer to human estrogen.

  7. Try to drink rice milk or almond milk instead. Only drink a bit of soy milk

  8. dont worry about it just keep eating soy foods.

you are doing a good job anyways :)
