Ummm...girls only please?

Question

I have a bit of a problem. I'm trying to decide if I should start wearing a padded bra. In half my shirts you can see my nipples through the shirt and bra when I wear training bras. I am semi flatchested so when I wear a padded bra you can tell a difference and I don't want them to look fake. So I'm kinda confused. Should I wear a padded bra or not? What should I do? School starts on Monday so I have to make a decision fast. I'm 13 and going to be in 8th grade by the way. 10 points to best answer!!

I would just try getting what they call a 'moulded bra' - one where the cup is a few millimeters thick but there is no padding. This way your nipples wont show through while your waiting for your b*****s to develope further.

Padded bras can be good and bad. Make sure though if you buy a padded bra, only wear padded bras as people will be able to see that one day you are larger and the next day smaller, you know what I mean?

that happpend to me a couple years ago... start with a training bra...witch you have..then go on to a padded bra...the least padding you can get.. not push up bras until you have something to push up (: hope this helps!

Well, if you are uncomfortable with the padded bras, or you can find one your size then I suggest wearing two camis. Those ones with the built in bras work really well, and you can get them from a Limited Too store. I was in 8th grade last year, and me and my friends wore those all the time because it was more comfortable for us.

Just buy the smaller padded bra and they won't look huge and people will have thought you just "grew" during the summer....If your nipples and all that jazz are growing then you need to get the smallest padded bra size so it doesn't look FAKE...cause then you will look like what I would call a S-L-U-T...and thats not good so GET A BRA.....Hope I Helped!!!

Just buy a regular bra in an A cup.

Don't get a padded one, just a regular one.

It will be more supportive than a training bra or sports bra, and will make it look like you're a little more filled out than you really are anyway =)

What about a non-underwire bra with a little cushion? Look for a fully padded cup, or something with a little thicker fabric. In the fall you may be able to layer to help this showing, but you don't need to go all out if you don't want it to look fake.

Try going to a department store, or even Victoria's Secret if your mom will let you. They should have something at VS that will look a little more natural while still being modest!

Your training bra likely isn't made of thick enough material if you can still see the nipples through your shirt - I would say get one made of thicker material, or even get a normal bra rather than a training one.

Perhaps a sports bra, the crop-top style ones, might be more comfortable for you than an underwire. They also won't add any to your bust, so you won't have to worry about looking 'fake.'

You don't need to wear a bra that is padded, just with thicker material.

Padded or maybe just one with more material,i think everyone has had that problem,you don't have to buy actual padded bras where people can tell that it looks fake,you can buy a bra with different material so your nipples don't show through.

I would not recommed a padded bra, if it looks fake. I would recommend a speghetti strap sports bra. But get one that is a little bit thicker then the normal plain cloth, You can find this at Target. here is the link---

DEFINATLEY!! ive been wearing a paddded bra since the end of 6th grade. And especially if your nipples show thats gross. just by a double a those are the smallest kind and since noone has seen you since last year people will just think you grew over the summer no worries:D

dont do padded bra, you will have a weird shape to your chest if you dont have any to start out with.

plus people will notice that more than your nipples through your shirt.

i would suggest wearing a normal bra, not a training bra. you dont think that women in their 30s with no b***s still wear training bras? they are kind of pointless, just to make little girls feel a little more grown up. graduate to a different style. they make any size bra, nearly A, AA, A, and nearly B, you will find one that will hide them, fit you well, and wont look like you put water balloons in your shirt.

plus b***s suck. i would give all the money i have ever earned to be flat chested.

I would go bra shopping with your mom or a close adult female. Just look around I know there are some padded bras out there that are not that padded but do make sure your nipple dont show through.. Good luck on your first day of  8th grade!!

what i did was i used to wear like two traing bras ontop of each other

Most def!! i was the same way and i wore a padded bra. Your b***s will always look way different in a bra then not, you will get used to it. Also its better then everyone staring at your nipples instead of your face. ha ha =]

See I started to wear padded bra for the same reason. Wear it you may think it looks fake but it really doesn't. When I started to wear padded bra everyone thought my chest got bigger. So it'll be okay once you wear one. But you'll have to get use to it.

hey love its fine you can get a padded bra that you cant tell the diff with i have plenty there more comfy aswell!! just go into your local underware shop and tell them you want a bra that has a thinker bit of material a lil padding but not noticable there fit you in one!! good luck xx

Well you can either wear a sports bra, it might help more or you can wear a bra with the least padding you can find.

Well Im on the opposite end of you..Im going into 8th grade to and im a 32dd.

Its not fun either. Guys stare, Girls make rumors that I stuff, and it hurts when i run!!

Well onto you. You dont need to get a padded bra.  I heard theres this bra by Bali that has nipple concealers in it. Go to Victorias Secret and ask them whats good for you with out being padded. Because I hate padded bras they just enhance my size more.

Or if you want a cheaper bra, Target has nice,un-padded bras.

This is something you should discuss with your Mom.  But as far as padding goes, 13 is an age during which people are experiencing growth, so it probably will go unnoticed if you pad up a bit.  Do what makes you feel most comfortable, and definitely discuss it with Mom...or Dad if Mom is not available...or your grandma, sister, etc.

I'm not sure what you mean by "padded bra", but there are ones that aren't just fabric, that have a little bit of padding, and there are ones that  are considered "push-up" bras. Those have a TON of padding right at the bottom, and are for large-chested people, though others can use them too. The ones that have a little bit of padding would probably be the ones to go with, for I'm in your situation, and they work best. The push-up bras on the other hand have a tendency to look fake, so try to stay away from them... The best place to look would probably be Target or Walmart, although there are other places too. yeah you should wear a padded bra, nothing will seem fake about it because girls at your age are going through puberty and they probably have to wear a padded one to...and it is usually a sign that when your nipples show through a training bra that you need to start wearing a padded bra...they are a lot more comfortable too!!!!

There are bras out their that aren't training bras, but aren't too padded so I would probaly just try and find one that not too padded, but slightly even if you are flat chested. It's a new school year so people might just think they've gotten bigger! lol but if you can see though that much I would try a slightly padded one. (:

Well buy a thick training bra so it wont show your nipples and dont stuff your bra/padded bra because people will find out unfortunately and you'll get laughed at. Trust me it happened to some people and they died.

thats a hard question becouse everyone one is different but there is also all different bras types as well try  a few padded bras on because there are some that dont make them look fake and dont show your nipple or where the bras you have and just grab 2 pieces of toilet paper and fold them up and stick them over your nipple in the bra and see how that works and good luck

if your nipples show thrugh your shirts and you want your chest to look a little bigger then a padded bra will help. just get one that's slightly padded, that way it won't look fake.

well when that stuff happened to me I wore those semi bras that are not padded put have the shape of an adult bra for teens I would try those cause you dont want to look like you grew over night!

they make really small A cup padded bras (my sister wears them) just make sure they fit right. you could also try sports bras. they add more padding but less than a real bra, they're comfortable but they do flatten out the chest more. but if you're already flat chested, i don't see how it could change it. hope i helped.

well , you can wear shirts that aren't see through . you can also start using womanish bras lol [ they sell smaller sizes ] . or you can even get pads for your bra . i do that cuz i don't like walking around with lightbulbs [ if you know what i mean ] lmao . any of those ideas are better than being made fun of for letting your nipples be seen in school . how embarassing .

Hey Babe

You can get alot of bras that just have minimal padding they would be great for your situation.  So instead of getting those flimsy lil training bras you can get some cute beginner bras that are nice and soft and just give you a hint of shape.  I think having that bit of shape can give you some confidence too and also knowing that people can't see your nipples has got to be a good thing!!
