how did the framers draft the constitution to guarantee that all the power of government will not be placed in the hands of a single person or group? how have political parties affected this provision?

Checks and Balances between the  Legislative, Judicial and Executive Branches.

The framers made a series of checks and balances within the three branches of the government.  The Republicans and the Bush administration had control over Congress and the Executive branch.  They then proceeded to take control of the Judicial branch by stacking the courts.  This should never ever happen!  This is why we need a Supreme court that is evenly balanced.  The lower courts should be balanced as well!  The state our country is in is what happens when one party gets control of the three branches of government. The checks and balances go out the window!  This makes our country with no protection from unethical, immoral politicians that want to line their own pockets at the cost of the welfare of the people!!!
