  1. You don't need muscles to be able to run. By running you get the muscles you need.

Just keep running but don't expect things to happen overnight. Just take it one week or one month at a time.

Try running 6 days a week and make sure you have a day off to recover.

Start with 15 mins and when it feels more relaxed and easy (1 week-1 month) move it up to 30 mins then 45 then 1 hour.

It takes time to get fit but you just get used to running.

Although, I don't suggest running 1 hour a day, vary your training. You might prefer to do some speed training, hills or fartlek for a change. These are all still good for your fitness.

And make sure you stretch so your body doesn't stop you from running well.

  2. You're normal weight.  Just keep at it and gradually extend the amount of time you run.

Do 15 minutes a day for a week then increase it to 20 minutes....within a month you should have no trouble doing an hour a day.

BTW you will never seen a marathon runner that is 6'3" 220.  Muscle doesn't equal stamina.  It's nice to have both but they are not the same thing.  You need to build up your heart and that is something you do gradually the way I mentioned.

  3. no weight wont make your stamina better. just keep pushing yourself. muscle weight increases speed not stamina.
