Ummmm What Is a B movie?

I have been hearing this alot,

And i have been wondering What's a B movie?

A "B" movie doesn't mean that it's c**p... it just means that the film had a low budget for their production.  (B stands for Budget... so budget movie)

You know how you hear about these huge blockbuster films like "The Dark Knight"... yeah, it took MULTI-MILLIONS to make it.  

Generally, a "B" movie is considered as such when it has a budget of like $500,000 or less... this INCLUDES paying the actors, post production, staging, price of the film, caterers, crew, etc...

Usually "B" movies are the ones that go straight to DVD and have no "big names" in them.  Many independent films are like this.

It is actually said 'Bee Movie', and that is the name of a movie about a bee living in a hive.

or you could mean b grade which means c**p!!!!!

At the Cinema years ago we were shown two films. The big one being the A movie with well known actors and good story line, then the newsreel, trailers and cartoon, then the shorter film which was always called the B movie. with little known actors and this was shown as a support film to the big film, and although not considered top class, was quite often very good.
