ok so im 13 and i hope to be going on americas got talent in a few years and i need to pick a song i wanna do i was thinking about taylor swift (our song) but im still not sure if i even wanna sing im also a dancer too so if u have any ideas for even songs or just a talent lett me no...

In three years - that song will be old and out of style - pick something in that time era when the time comes - or something classic and timeless. Also, don't pick something that has a lot of words sung really fast like that - if you don't sing it just right, they won't understand what you sing. Good luck.

well, I think you're wasting your time. There's a lot of life between now and "in a few years" so chances are that you will change significantly. For all you know, whatever song you want to perform hasnt even been written yet.

Choose something that won't sound like you're at a middle school talent show.  It's important to sing something that comes from the heart, a song that makes YOU feel something when you listen to it so you can sing it with passion, instead of maybe just a "fun" song.

i wreckon you should do a song with a large range so that you can show off what you've got, also something with a lot of change in dynamic, maybe you should chose a song from the theatre or broadway so that you can act/dance as well, i would reccomend something from Oliver Twist, the judges love that kind of thing.   Just practise,practise for the 3 years and then decide on what song you will do.. That way the song is fresh and not 3 years old.

maybe you should post a video of you singing and dancing so we can get an idea of what you are better at. I think you should do whatever makes you happiest and whatever song feels right.
