Un-Installation help?

Wow. I just took out my oct guage wiring kit, i'm very sweaty.

through the tiny grommet went at least 8 feet of wire.

but now i have 3 pairs of RCA's to get out of there.

i have them both all the way up by the firewall and out of the trunk, and the deck is completely uninstalled.

i tug lightly on the RCA's and they dont budge in either direction.

my dash is off, but not my steering column and other things.

is there something that real installers mount your RCA's to in the behind the deck area?

how the h**l do i get them out of here?

  1. You will need to be able to see both sides of the cables and look for zip ties or something holding the wires together. Installers do this sometimes to keep the wires together and away from other things in the car. You may need to cut whatever it was they held the wires together with.

Getting the wires through the grommet may also be tricky. You may need to feed one connection of the RCA through the grommet at a time to get it through. I do this to minimize the hole for the grommet and I can fit both ends of the RCA through a hole that only fits one end at a time. Good Luck
