Unable to change my background...??

Question

No matter what I change my desktop background to or how I go about changing it, it always stays blank. The selected background will appear shortly after startup and then it will change to a blue background for a moment and then it turns all white and stays that way. The icons show up allright. Has anyone had this problem? i ran a spyware it corrected the problem but this thing remains... pls help me with this...

Try to use Super Antispyware software. It will solve ur probs n its a free one.

This might help:

Right click on a blank spot on your desktop and select 'Properties'.

Select the Desktop tab and then the Customize Desktop button.

Click on the Web tab and remove the checkmark from the the Lock Desktop Items box.

Now DELETE any web pages listed here.

Exit Display properties.

Yeah, I've had this problem. Click a button that'll save it like OK or SUBMIT or SAVE ... some kind of saving button's gotta be there.
