Unable to cnnect internet on vista home basic

Question

I am running internet on my PC through Mobile NOKIA N 72.Yesterday I purchased one LAPTOP of LENOVO make having window vista home basic and installed NOKIA PC suit,whenever I tried to connect net every time I got response that modem is not found,where as Phone was always connected through USB.It will be not out of the way to mention that on my PC the operating system is window XP.Pl suggest me the way to run net on vist home basic with my exhisting Mobile connection.
