Unable to connect to Xbox Live!

I just bought an iMac OS X 10.5.5 with Airport Extreme built into the system. I also have a Speedstream 5260 ADSL modem connected to the ethernet port on the back of my iMac. I am attempting to wirelessly connect to my xbox live (which does have a network adapter attached). When testing settings in Xbox, the network is detected; however, I am unable to pass the IP test. I receive an error message stating the DHCP server could not negotiate a lease. Any solutions?
