go to tools, internet options, then delete browsing history.

go to history click on the site and there should be a delete button

If you are referring to search terms that is part of the autocomplete feature that can be turned off in options.

In IE go to internet options/ content/ autocomplete/ settings/ forms.

In Firefox go to options/ privacy/ history/ remember what I enter in forms and the search bar.

You can also delete the entries by double clicking on an empty box, drop down to the first item, and then press delete for each entry.
