Question:

Unable to enable dvd writer

I have a new toshiba satellite L40 laptop. It has a Pioneer DVD-RW DVD-K17A ATA device. I have tried to enable this device in Vista but get the message "Windows failed to enable this device" code 22. Please can you advise a solution
