Question:

Unable to focus while driving?

I've been driving since May, yep new driver. For the last few years while I was in the passenger seat I would find that quite often I would be unable to focus my attention on anything. I would feel slightly disconnected. My doctor told me it was car sickness and that it would go away once I started driving.

In the beginning when I was driving it started happening, not too often but almost every time I drove, off and on. But for the last two or so months it's been happening almost the entire time I drive. The only way I'm able to stay a little focused is by looking straight down at the road, instead of straight ahead. Any advice?

  1. Maybe you shouldn't drive if your are unable to focus on the road, but I don't really understand what you mean, it must be less severe then I am imagining or you would have crashed by now.

  2. I'll tell you every single information I learned:

A: When you're a driver you don't feel dizzy because:

    1. You control the car.

    2. You're thinking about your driving, not the motion.

B: When you're a passenger you do feel dizzy because:

    1. You don't control the car.

    2. You're thinking about the movement and you think it's a lot dizzy
