Unable to install critical security update?

Question

I'm currently running Jukebox version 2.2.2.056 on a Vista Home Premium system. Today, on starting, box pops up stating "Update Required - A critical security update to the Yahoo! Music Jukebox is required...."

My only 2 options are to close Jukebox, or install the update. When I attempt to install the update, it appears to begin to install, and states that Jukebox will close and then reopen.

It closes fine, but it doesn't reopen. When I restart Jukebox, I go through the whole thing all over again - and I can never get Jukebox to start.

Searched web - couldn't find similar issue.

Input appreciated.

Same thing happened to me,and I seem to have lost a DDL file in the process too.

Do a manual upgrade.  First uninstall YMJ via program and features.  Then goto downloads.yahoo.com or

http://music.yahoo.com/jukebox/

and install Yahoo Music Jukebox.  The upgrade should put YMJ at 2.2.2.058
