  1. you're a p***y?

  2.   Hit my head hard in accident. Can't look people in the eye now unless I knew them before. Makes people react badly like I'm a threat or something.

  3. I see no need to keep eye contact longer with strangers unless I am talking to talk to them.  Some people may find hard to keep eye contact for insecurity or shyness.

It's important to make eye contact when we are talking to someone.

Some people see the lack of it as dishonest or insincerity.

  4. People that don't make eye contact are generally counter-projecting an irrational fear that they themselves have of being looked at. They do not like others looking at them, but cannot prevent this, so do the only alternative and stop looking at the other person. By stopping looking at the other person, they no longer know whether the other person is looking at them, and this gives a sense of superficial comfort.

As for the specific reason why someone would avoid eye contact, it might vary greatly. Feelings of ugliness, guilt and inferiority are often the causes

  5. If you're embarrassed or if direct eye contact causes you to stutter or become nervous. If you are self-conscious or uncomfortable.

Or obvious answers like you are blind, blindfolded, in the dark, etc.

I have trouble making eye contact with people who have a lazy eye. Not in a rude way but I don't know which one to look at and it makes me uncomfortable.

  6. I feel that someone that can't make eye contact is either not sure of themself (low self-esteem) or they are shady.

Many times they are unassertive, have trouble thinking clearly and expressing themselves, are concerned about their "image," and, in fact, often give others bad impressions. It can, of course, be a serious problem--too bad we don't take it more seriously.

  8. I sometimes don't give eye contact if the person who is talking to me isn't interesting enough

  9. I dont know.  I dont have problems with looking people in the eyes.  You shouldnt be afraid.  Maybe its the lack of confidence?  I honestly dont know.  Just be brave and look, nobody is going to kill you for you staring them in the eyes.  Its fine I can assure you.  Love and Light.

  12. I do take u serious, due to i also cant hold eye contact for very long with people, its not cos have low self convidence in myself or that iam autistic.. I find that if looking at somebody too long, feels like iam staring and makin others uncomfortable, but also if somebody looks at me, too much, its like interfering into my own personal space.. and all that, is with people i dont know.. but with my mates and family, i can easly be myself and can hold eye contact, but then again, those ppl dont stare too long either, nice relaxed and have my own space.. instead lookin at somebody eyes, try looking at their noses or mouth instead, its what i have learnt to do and they dont know the differance either.. dont mind what others say that aint all about u.. im sure ppl around in ur life and love, are easy to be around and those also take u for who u are and what kind person u are also, they wouldnt take much notice of eye contact at all.. they will give u, ur own personal space.. hope this helps and remember not only1 out there, plenty us the same and hope that tip gave helps also.. wish u al the best luck (",)

  13. I think it is when you feel the opponent is more powerful than you, than you are not being able to make any eye contact.
