has anyone under 14 ever went on a AA flight alone without paying the unaccompanied minor fee and had no problems?

  1. if your 14 im sure you are capable of flying alone.

    i know when i've flown alone underage i'm given this special pass that let's people know i'm unaccompanied. i'm pretty sure that to obtain this pass, you would have to pay the fee. If you don't have the pass, you are required to show ID, which if you're 14 you may not have. If you do have it, then they might ask why you don't have a pass (they might not, depends on the laws or how sharp the TSA agent is). Also, if you want a parent or somebody to walk you to the gate through the airport (if you're 14 you probably don't care), then that is what comes along with the pass.
