I am 13 years old and I am flying by myself to Washington DC to visit my cousins. I am under age so I am considered an unaccompanied minor. I am flying from Buffalo (BUF) to Baltimore/Washington (BWI), so probably a direct flight. I was wondering what airline is the most convient for me, and is not much of a hassle for an unaccompanied minor? THANKS!!!!!!

  1. my daughetr flies thru southwest and after age 11 they are not considered a minor anymore.  therfore there is no extra fees just a regular adult ticket.  She flies from ALbany ny to Baltimore and then to AUstin texas every year

  2. Since it's a direct flight, any airline's unaccompanied minor service will probably be fine.  Look which is cheapest and which ticket is cheapest.  (I've known kids who have flown on NWA on a trans-Pacific flight (24hrs) and both times it's been pretty crappy.  They wouldn't let them use the bathroom after what turned into a 24 hr delay in Tokyo-Narita until the girl asked like 4 times and they left them alone in Narita where they could have run away, no one watched them at all) And for breakfast after the 24 hr delay, they were fed coffee and disgusting food.  They would have been GLAD to buy their own food, but they weren't allowed. And it was a disgusting smoking room and the 2 kids had asthma and on both trips, they had to run to their connecting flight, 1st because of incompetence of the aid lady because she was too busy chatting with her friends and the 2nd time because NWA just sucks and delayed their initial flight by like 4hrs.)  So, in a nutshell, since it's direct, just go with the cheapest since they won't have that many chances to s***w your trip up.

  3. you must visit some site that will guide you better in my view you must a direct flight and some one will drop you at the flight and some will catch you at arrival
