i've been told that the unactive week of birth control pill are nothing but sugar, and they have no hormones in them. for the past two months, i just didnt consume the pills for that week, i didnt skip the week and go to my next set.

my question? do i have to take those pills or can i just not take any pill during the week of my period, and still be safe?

  1. The only reason why you take those pills is to remind yourself when you have to start taking them again. So you won't be like, "How many days have I had my period?" or "When do I start again, I forgot?" So no, you don't have to take the white pills. Their useless.

  2. Those are basically just sugar pills.  So you don't forget when the next Sunday is.  I never take them!  But if you have problems remembereing when to take your pills, they can be very helpful.

  3. It is only intended for reminders. You do not need to take them they have no effect on the effectiveness
