Nou.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordi-c19110 Alba is not the same boy who left Catalonia years ago and returns to native Barcelona as a European Champions and plenty of Spanish top flight football experience with his stint with Valencia.
For Los Che coach, Unai Emery, has been a staunch advocate of the assured left-back and has tipped him for a successful stint with Barcelona on his return. Emery hailed his former charge for his exceptional talents and ability to overcome adversity.
The Basque trainer pointed out that Alba trains hard, is ambitious and to cap it off, is extremely modest, which allows him to improve on his skill set.
"He is a player trained, prepared, hungry for success and, above all, humble. With all that, he will succeed. I'm sure," Emery was quoted by El Mundo Deportivo.
Reflecting on Alba’s early days at the Mestalla, Emery shared that he had a disdain for playing in the left-back position but got moulded in the role and only had that berth in his eyes. He added that Alba’s travels at such a young age helps him being better
than players’ in his age group.
Continuing on the topic, Emery stated that his best Alba moment was his goal in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 hosted Euro 2012 final. He highlighted the Catalan player’s speed and surprise, which made it special.
"At first the boy did not want to play left-back, but then he just wanted to play in that position. He is a much-travelled player, with speed and surprise.”
"The play that best defines him was the goal he scored in the [Euro 2012] final against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926."
“A problem? I think not. Jordi has strength and youth. I have also a player with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858, Romulus, who of course I would like to be already working with us, but [the players] have an understandable enthusiasm for the Games," Emery explained.
