Roberto Soldado returned to goal scoring form with a well taken hat-trick against UEFA Champions League hopefuls, Athletic Bilbao.
The 26-year-old opened the proceedings late in the first half and returned hungrier after the interval. Soldado doubled his tally for the night just before the hour mark, and put the match to rest as he converted from the spot late in the game.
Expectedly, Valencia manager, Unai Emery, was pleased with the performance of his charges against a fatigued yet organized Bilbao squad.
