I am about to redecorate my room however I would like to try and sort out the messy wires I have in my room. I have a tv on the wall with a free view box and a Nintendo Wii all attached to it.

Is there a way of arranging the wires neatly ?

Thank you

  1. yes you can buy plastic conduit to hide all the wires just attach it to your wall pop the wires in and clip the cover over sealing the ugly wires away

  2. you can buy cable tidies from most electrical shops and places like argos. they ares simple to use and they keep all the wires hidden

  3. I also saw in a magazine once where you can decorate a small box (like a shoe box) with pretty paper or fabric, stow the wires inside, and attach it to the side of your desk or whatever.  It keeps them off the floor.

  4. They sell these conduit things at the Home Depot that you can wrap up all your cords inside.  It looks a little better.  Another way to do it is to buy some of those tie-wraps and wrap the cords together every several feet and then try to align them along the base of cabinet or baseboard or whatever it's on.

  5. get a cable tidy - it wraps around all the wires... making it look like one wire and it has many colours to choose from!!!

  7. You can buy cable "tidies"

These are expensive for what they are!

We bought 1 metre of 1" ribbed aquatic hose from a garden centre - split it along the length and "hid" the cables inside.  You just have one "cable" then, instead of 3.

  8. How invasive and or cheap do you want to be?

Cheapest and simplest ways are to use twisty-ties. Like the ones you find on loaves of bread. Or special velcro strips, just wrap them around the cable bunch so it forms one long band" until they split off, and you're done. There's also wrap around "tubes" for them, that IKEA sells for 3 bucks and you can cut it to length.

Those would be the ways i'd reccomend. The other way is to fish the cords. You'll get almost no showing of cords, but that will include drilling holes into the wall and sliding the cords through the holes.
