  2. In my opinion, therefore, un-Australian really means unacceptable and that’s how such things should be described. Unacceptable, no more no less.
    Moreover, if such awful things are perpetrated in Australia, then what makes them un-Australian? We should admit that what we really mean is that such things should not happen in Australia. Of course, they shouldn’t occur anywhere else either, so in a sense we are trying to convey that we should be better than we are.

  3. It is funny a country of british convicts with 200 years history consider themselves unique
    in regards to tolerance,compassion and friendship (mateship).it is assumed only australians posses these qualities in contrast to their "whites only australia policy",inhumane treatment of the natives äboriginals" and continuing racism and discrimination in present day australia.
    australians in general believe other countries with much older history and culture are void of the principles of respect,sharing and caring with the exception of anglo-celtics.
