  1. Why shouldn't he?

They haven't been convicted of anything.

  2. Shes not judgemental by nature, thank Heavens...

  3. I don't get what is ubelievable about it..... she said what I was thinking.

  4. Unbelievable is the apt word! And so again the McCann's get what 'They' want and the truth is ignored! Even though the PJ have said it was impossible based on the evidence that the child was kidnapped! It is sickening to say the least and so evident of power and money at it's worse......

  5. He shouldn't have said it, he has no idea whether Madeleine is alive or not.

  6. Well i'm sorry if what i am gonna say sounds callous, but if the can travel the world they can attend court.

We are forgetting, this is all supposed to be for the benefit of their lost child.

    They refused a Reconstruction,why?

I'd still be in Portugal now looking for my child.Until the day i dropped down dead (still looking). There is no way i could go back to a normal life without closure.

  7. what else did you expect then ??

  8. It's amazing that even a High Court judge can make such ill-informed comments like that. She seems to have accepted the McCanns' version of events despite the conflicting views of the police. I would have thought that she would have adopted a less biased approach.

Interestingly, it was claimed on Sky News that the Leicestershire police have only released 81 pages of evidence to the McCanns. One wonders if the remaining thousand or so pages on file contain more damning evidence that the McCanns were directly responsible for Madeleine's disappearance; a view that seems to be held by the Portuguese police.

  9. The judge seems to have surpassed her remit and become quite emotional instead of looking at some hard cold facts that at present they r still at Arguidos status and the Prosecutor in Portugal has still to make a decision on the case.

There has been no evidence that Madeleine was abducted.

I post another link as well

Apparently they only have access to some of the evidence!!!!!

  10. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2008/jul/07...

    > The legal challenge was withdrawn after a hearing in which Leicestershire police said they would share 81 pieces of information with the McCanns. The information relates to calls received from the public shortly after Madeleine disappeared on May 3 last year.

"Each of these is important information. We have potentially 81 new leads," said the McCanns' spokesman, Clarence Mitchell. <

Potentially new leads.  That's why.  Anyone who wants the girl found safe should be pleased.  Nobody else is gonna investigate the leads are they.

  11. Unbelievable.

Does this mean that, in future, all suspects in a case can demand to see evidence against them?  So they will know who is giving evidence against them and who they have to silence?  They will know exactly what the evidence against them is, and be able to bribe witnesses to speak for them, or be able to concoct a better alibi.

This makes a mockery of the whole justice system.  This is actually a very dangerous step.  Many people will think twice in future about speaking out about crime and will be more reluctant to come forward as witnesses.  I know I would if I thought the main suspects were going to get access to the case files.

And it is completely 'ludicrous' for a judge to sympathise with a couple of suspects before they have been cleared.

  12. I wonder if this Judge knows what she is doing, I feel sorry for the witnesses, if their statements, names, and addresses, are to be giving out I think their lives are going to be made h**l.I thought the case was only being shelved and can be reopened if more evidence came about. I don't understand this action.

  13. I cannot see what you find unbelievable.? Perhaps you could explain to us all just what you find unbelievable ???

  14. Michael

This is so unbelievable. I did say to my husband a while ago

that this judge will be all for them.

What I find so astounding is that the police are going to let them have access. I ask you, how on earth can this happen.

Hope my violation did not affect your points yesterday.

Muriel L--- I wonder if the witnesses lives will also be in danger

  15. why does it say she was taken !! there is no evidence of this

the macsammies should of turned up at court , it is the least they could do

too busy earning money i guess

  16. You mean the bit where Mrs Justice Hogg said she had not asked for [Kate and Gerry McCanns] attendance because "they have suffered enough and I wished to ease their burden"?

I understand that you find it hard to accept compassion in another person and I feel for you - I really do.
