Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception: Bettor.com’s Guide to Video Games for the Holiday Season – Part 1
In a constant effort to bring our followers the best of gaming news, reviews and advice, Bettor.com is taking an initiative and instead of waiting for the last minute to release their guide for holiday season video game shopping, we look to present the reader
with facts and figures that will help him, or her, make the purchase that most suits him, or the person he is shopping for.
We would like to begin by giving one very important piece of advice: Start saving, because the amount of quality titles releasing for the Christmas rush means that there is no way any gamer will be happy with just one title in his shelf.
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
Developed by Naught Dog, the developer responsible for bringing the Uncharted series to life with Drake’s Fortune and then went on to make it a worldwide phenomenon with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, the third instalment in the series will see the return of
the charismatic and resourceful protagonist, Nathan Drake as he sets off on his latest adventure.
Naught Dog have confirmed they have not tinkered with the formula that made the first two games such huge success stories. The game is once again said to be story driven, engaging, combining elements of platforming, shooting and cover mechanics, as well
as boasting a whole new brawl fight mechanic.
The latter will allow players to pull of context sensitive hand to hand combat moves, such as hitting enemies over the head with a bottle if there is one nearby and other similar moves.
The game’s multiplayer beta is already up and running, and after an early restriction - on who could sign up and play it - was lifted, the amount of players has the crossed the 1 million mark. Translate that into Christmas shopping and its 999,999 people
the reader will have to fight against, if he or she wishes to be able to get their hands on the game.
Bettor.com recommends that any reader who wishes to own a copy of the game go ahead and pre-order as soon as possible. It is either that or a fight for their life if they decide to wait until the last minute.
However, if anyone has any doubts over whether or not the game would be worth it, one has to ask the question: which rock have you been living under. From the gameplay trailers to the live actions demos, to the hugely popular multiplayer beta, Uncharted
3: Drake’s Deception is already looking like a contender for game of the year.
The game is set to release in the United States on the 1st of November, followed by a United Kingdom release date on the 2nd of the same month.
Bettor.com recommends that anyone wishing to purchase it either pre-order the title or purchase the copy as quickly as they can after its release, with the former being the better option, and if they are really in the festive spirit, might as well order
the Explorer’s Edition while they are at it.
