Sony has announced that all the DLC for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is now available for free to PSN users and retailers announce the release date for Square Enix’s upcoming Hitman title.
Starting things off with the present day descendant of the ancient Assassin’s Creed, Agent 47, who happens to be the great-great-great-great-grandson of Ezio Auditore de Firenze.
Although the first paragraph is not true, it would be mind blowing if Ubisoft and Square Enix teamed up and made such a concept a reality.
Moving on to the actual story, and in an effort to get a few pre-orders for the upcoming game, retailers have decided to take the initiative and announced that Hitman: Absolution will be hitting stores this September.
Square Enix has been tight lipped on the matter of giving an exact date for the release of the game, something that the retailers found increasingly frustrating. Gamers can pre-order their copies of Agent 47’s upcoming adventure at Zavvi, HotUKDeals and
ShopTo, although there seems to be some disagreement as to when the game actually comes out.
Zavvi and HotUKDeals are offering the game on the 17th of September while ShopTo plan on offering the game a week later on the 24th.
It seems that the final word is still with Square Enix as the publisher will announce when gamers can expect to don the role of Agent 47 once again.
Moving on now from assassin to adventurer, as Sony has announced that gamers who still have a copy of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves can now download all the DLC for that game for free.
To be more specific, the Drake's Fortune Multiplayer Pack, previously priced $2.99; the Golden Gun Pack, previously priced $0.99; the PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack, previously priced $2.49; the Sidekicks Skin Pack, previously priced $1.49; and the Siege Expansion
Pack, previously priced $2.99” are available for download absolutely free of cost.
The move is sure to please a number of Uncharted fans and perhaps even give the sales figures for the game itself one last hurrah before it too disappears and becomes a fond memory.
