Trying their luck with the £1,617 prize money are fifteen three-year and above runners. Quite a handful have been waiting to strike success on their profile which has remained deprived of it since a while.

Joining teams with jockey, Kieren Fallon, the four-year-old bagged the prize money. His start was impressive, but went downhill by the time the final three furlongs were on the horizon. Not letting the unfortunate twist in the field take its toll, Uncle Dermot fell into keen pursuit, and was leading well before the final furlong.
He defeated Alshazah by 4 ½ lengths.
Coming at terms with the third position was, Authoritarian.
The Irish bay gelding out of, Cappadoce, will race at Brighton for the first time during the current season and has the soft ground conditions in his favour. The distance too is not entirely alien. He will race out of the third gate in companion ship with jockey, Brendan Powell.
An entry to look out for is the three-year-old chestnut filly, Saint Irene, who is intensely looking into some sort of stability in the rankings. The only time that she raced at Brighton during the season, turned into a third position.
