Question:

Uncontrollable Rage?

Whenever people do something that upsets me in the liliest way I go into a rage & feel bad about it after.

Sometimes I write rude notes to myself, thinking that I might get used to ppl calling me names or talking smack to me.. (weird I know) sadly tho, it doesn't work.

I realize that I let ppl get to me to easily & I know that I'm better than that..

So how can I ignore or calm myself down when I'm in bad situations? Any Tips?

  1. the sameeee exact thing happens 2 me 1 time in school this 1 kid touched my glasses and i pimp slapped him then punched him as hard as i cud in the back of the head and i had no control. i hate it but thats me anddddd i dunno wut 2 do sorry but just lettin u know u aint alone

  3. You have anger problems, you need to talk to a doctor or psychiatrist. I did that because at the slightest thing to make me mad I would snap and then afterwards I'd feel really bad. Then I talked to a doctor about it and I went to counseling for like 6 months and got put on xanax that I use only when I feel that type of anger coming on and now it's way better. Medication worked for me by itself but the counseling helped so I had a higher tolerance for people and so I would get mad less, therefore taking the medication less. Now I am only taking the medication about 6 times a month (which may seem like a lot but you are talking to a person who would snap on people at least once a day)

  4. i dunno wat to do but its fun everyone would avoid me one day my friend was pretending to punch me then i smack her on the forhead and would have kept going but then remebered that shes a cry baby

  5. I have anger issues too and tend to have violent reactions, eg, punching things etc.

    I find the following things help when I get angry:

    -Breathing deeply (requires alot of control, but it helps)

    -Dancing like mad (jump up and down, thrash your arms, shake your head etc)

    -Listening to a metal song and screaming along

    -Squeezing something

    -Go for a run

    -Get a doll, pretend it's someone you hate, and scream at it until you run out of steam

    -Play sports (Baseball, boxing, etc)

    -Paint (Splatter paint, throw paint, etc)

    -If you get these rages when you're with people, excuse yourself and...

    -Go for a sprint

    -Go to the toilet and do some breathing exercises

    -Go to a reclusive spot and scream/rant/curse

    -Laugh (If you force yourself to laugh ridiculously, you might find yourself starting to laugh for real)

    -Think of a really hot person you idolize (actor, singer etc) and that should calm you down/make you smile/make you feel slightly better.

    Hope these worked. Some are outrageously weird while others are reliable ways to calm down.
