Undeletable Application Extension?

i have a application extension called "C:\WINDOWS\system32\esent97o.dll" and it dosnt delete for some reason. Not even Avast can do anything about it. Can anyone help me?

  1. Open up the dos prompt (you might need to run as an administrator, right click for options)

    then type:

    del C:\WINDOWS\system32\esent97o.dll /F

    /F forces to delete read only files.

    Note that the file will not be sent to the recycle bin, so use at your own risk.


  2. Turn off your machine.

    Keep tapping F8 button->In windows advance boot menu->Select safe mode.->Choose your user account.

    There you can delete or rename the file esent97o.dll.

  3. Infections can change there permissions so you can not delete them. You must cacls them.  If you never used cacls before or if you need more help follow the link below
