  1. i think it all depends on ur sat scores

  2. If I were you, I would go to a community college to raise my grades first, then transfer in.

  3. Yes, it is possible to go to college with your low GPA, but you have to do your best this year because UNM has a 2.25 minimum GPA.  Mathematically, that means if you have a 1.67 GPA, you will have to get a 4.0 your senior year, if you have a 1.8 GPA, you will have to get a 3.6, and if you have a 2.0, you would only need a 3.0.  So you can do it, but the lower your current GPA, the harder you will work your senior year to catch up.  But don't just take easy classes.  You still have to meet all the prerequisites such as least 3 classes in Algebra, Geometry, or higher math and at least two foreign language classes or along with the 2.25 GPA have high scores on the ACT or SAT exams.  Also, your ACT and SAT scores will determine placement, which usually only applies to math requiring you to take some classes that do not count for credit before you take the required classes.  When you take your SAT or ACT, make it as late as you can so you can include this year's knowledge in your scores.

Another option is to attend another college such as a community college (junior college) and then transfer with at least a 2.0 GPA.
