At least Palin has the moral courage to support her daughter's choice to give birth to a baby.

  1. No. Obama wants to give people the freedom of choice, while encouraging them to make the right choice.

McCain on the another hand, just wants to take our rights away.

  2. no one is pro abortion.  Democrats just have the respect to not judge another person's situation.

  3. Err...nope. Under Obama, the better choice would be daughter's freedom to choose what she wants to do rather than the government telling her what to do. If she chooses to keep the baby, all the power to her.

There is a reason why they call that lobby Pro-Choice and not Pro-Abortion. Everyone wishes to reduces the number of abortions.

  4. This matter is not properly the concern of anyone except the Palins.  Butt out!

  5. Sarah Palin and her family are Pro Life, and you're absolutely right...they have great moral courage with their decision about their daughter's pregnancy.  Kudos to them.

And you're also right about Obama's stance on abortion.

I say, good to the Palin family for not trying to hide this pregnancy.  They are doing the correct thing.  And John McCain was aware of this pregnancy before he announced Governor Palin as his VP running mate.  It should not be and was not a deterrent in announcing his choice.

So, Kudos to John McCain and Sarah Palin.

  6. Abortion is acceptable under Obamas plan if you choose to do that.

  7. No, there is no mandatory abortion under choice.  That is the falsehood that is so often passed along.

Obviously, medically there is a higher risk of problems for younger and older women both for the child and the mother.  And the social consequences can also be very grim.  However, abortion is not mandatory it is only legal.   It may suprise you to know that the American Association of Pediatrics has filed cases for abortion rights.

These are dedicated Doctors that save lives while you sleep.  However, they do recognize that there are many situations where abortion may be the best or only option.  Abortions were  not illegal when our Country was founded and they should not be illegal now.

That is putting religious beliefs of the group who believes life begins at conception above the religious beliefs of those who think it does not occur until the fetus develops independent movement or can sustain life outside the womb.  I see no reason why I should decide this for another woman one way or another and I do not think it takes "moral courage."  We are paying interest to a China which forces women to have abortions so we do not pay taxes for our own war.  If we had moral courage we would raise taxes, pay for our war.

  8. No.

Palin's daughter would've had ample access to contraceptives that I'm hoping she would've used.

  9. Palin happened to want to get pregnant, and therefore wanted to have her baby.

I don't think you understand what goes on in the minds of young and older women alike who make these kind of decisions.

We should all be trying to prevent unwanted pregnancies (as well as STD's), not the right to an abortion. The government has no say or any business whatsoever in a woman's personal, medical matters. It would be horrific to see them and their doctor's turned into criminals charged with murder.

  10. i dont know.  obamas mother was 18 when he was born so.  obama didnt jump on this though.  he is probably sensitive on this subject.

    mccain-palin '08

  11. To answer your question.

    NO

    OBAMA IN 08 !!!!!!

  12. Every child should be a wanted child, and this will be a wanted child. Could, and does, happen in any family. Many grandmothers, both Democrat and Republican are raising their grandchildren. Women know that.

"Let me be as clear as possible," Obama said. "I think people's families are off-limits, and people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president."

  13. Can any of these grumpy old men even remember how orbital their hormones were when they were teens? Mercy, please!

It's almost like there's a reversal of wings going on here. The right-wing of the bird is swapping places with its left-wing. Sure, maybe all we get is the bird. But, at least if this continues, that bird will fly backwards.

    I'd like to see that.

    ...

  14. It's funny that the Democrats keep saying that she only announced it to further her own political career.  But that doesnt' make any sense.  Whenever you reveal something negative about yourself, you leave yourself vulnerable to attack, such as Palin has.

But she's making the announcement despite the fact that it could hurt her politically and stand by her daughter.  That's courageous.

  15. Obviously the answer is no and the question is stupid and getting old.  Why don't both parties supporters just grow up!

  16. his supporters would think it was ok for her baby to be sucked out in a vacuum because it may be an inconvenience

  17. Most people I know are pro choice and I've never met anyone who is pro abortion. It's a terrible choice to face and I don't want the government making it for anyone. I'm glad Palin's daughter didn't have an abortion, but I'm also glad she had the option to make that choice and that if she decided to have an abortion she wouldn't have had to go to some underground illigitimate doctor who would be just as likely to kill her as to successfully abort the pregnancy. That's what happened before Roe v. Wade and I'm glad it isn't the situation today.

  18. To answer your question, NO. Not all pregnancies should end in abortion, but a good number should have, for instance all the moronic republican/conservative posters here baiting those with intelligence and insight...yes, those intelligent Democrats anxiously waiting for election day!

    Obama/Biden 2008!!!!

  19. its the text book 'better choice'  of liberals.  Ironically it was used by Margeret Sanger to reduce the surplus Black population and was Eugenic in nature. Sad, Early feminists were wise enough to oppose abortion.

I'll tell you the really sad story.  70 percent of Black children in America are born out of wedlock. It is a crisis that a liberal won't touch with a 10 foot pole.

  20. Obama

-Racist (Wright's Church for 20 years)

-Chicago Thug (Rezko and dirty politics)

    -Unpatriotic/ Un-American (Wright's church and Ayers)

    -Pro-Choice "Pro-Abortion" (I don't want my daughters punished with a baby)

-Inexperienced to be President (Zero accomplishments)

-Connected to ACORN (Community organizer) -ACORN is linked to voter fraud

    Palin

-Running for VP, not POTUS. (Has more experience in her short time than Obama)

-Pro-Life (Her daughter is pregnant and she is keeping the baby - what true values)

DO YOU REALIZE OBAMA WAS BORN OUT OF WEDLOCK TO A 17 YEAR OLD GIRL?

Do Not Vote for Obama for the sake of change and for a desire to vote a Democrat in office. Please vote smart and realize that a man who has served his country proudly as McCain is the best choice. Realize that a man who is 72 has only one reason to become President and that is to serve his country. Obama wants to "change" your America. He wants to be a historical figure. He wants to position himself for 2 terms. His motives are self-serving. Is that who you want for your President??/

  21. No, under Obama, the daughter gets to decide whether to keep the baby or not.  Nobody forces her to get an abortion, and nobody forces her to keep the baby.

See, that's why they call it pro-CHOICE.

Edit:  To all you right-wingers who gave me thumbs down, let me ask you:  do pro-choicers try to *force* anyone to have an abortion?  Or is it the anti-abortion people who insist on forcing girls like this to carry pregnancies to term, no matter what the consequences?

This is what your santimonious, medieval attitudes get you.  But, hey, abstinence works.

And, just what we want in a Vice President--a woman who doesn't even know what her own daughter is doing and who would subject that daughter to the unwanted attention she had to know would occur once she accepted McCain's offer.  She's as heartless as Cheney.  I can see why the Republicans like her.

  22. 'Palin has the moral courage to support her daughter's choice'

Palin supports choice only if it matches her own choice.

She opposes rape and incest exceptions for women seeking abortion.  In November 2006, in a gubernatorial debate, she declared that she would not support her own daughter's decision to get an abortion, even if she had been raped.

  23. yes, in my opinion the responsible decision would be to abort the fetus. but in this case my opionion- and your opinion- don't matter. the only opinions that matter are that of the mother and father of the unborn child. they are the ones who will live with the consequences of their decision and they are the ONLY ones who can make the 'better choice'.

  24. Its Sad That You Don't Know What PRO-CHOICE Means But It Just Goes To Show How Dumb You REPUBLICANS Are. If It Wasn't For Pro-Choice You Rich White Perverts Who Get Your Daughters Pregnant Wouldn't Be Able To Do Away With It...Now You Look At It In A Different Way Dont Ya...

Latino Women Raised By White Republicans But Is Voting Democrat...

  25. No, but it would be an option.  Personally, I am for adoption.  There are many people that would love to be parents but are not able to have children.

  26. I've got news for you, we are under BUSH right now and abortion is still legal. Does that mean Bush wants all babies dead? I don't think so. I think it means the woman has the right to choose. Be honest, do you think Bristol had any choice in the matter whatsoever?

We are now applauding fornication, and b*****d children if, and only if they are Republican, right?

  27. Under Obama, Bristol would be able to choose her decision...under Palin/McCain, she would not.

  28. yep, in the guise of "choice"(call a PIG an POWDERPUFF but it still stinks like...)...choosing to KILL is what's the agenda is all about...

    Pro-Life = Live infant

    Pro-Death = DEAD infant

EDIT: the truth? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH (give me MORE thumbs down BABYKILLERS!!)

  29. Perhaps, but the body would have to be disposed of in a cruel manner shortly after the birth.

  30. It's not called Pro-BETTER CHOICE, it's called Pro-CHOICE. You're sick if you think anyone advocates the death of a baby. It's about choice. It's an extremely hard one, and an extremely unfortunate one, but it is one the girl should be allowed to make if she wishes.

I don't want to get into a full heated debate on abortion, but if you are so vehemently anti-choice (I'm pro-life too but I'm also pro-choice, so I'm not going to go out and call you pro-life as if I'm not.), shouldn't you be having a baby every 9 months? Each time you have your period you're murdering a baby!

  31. palin probally was going to get a abortion if we never found this out
