when an employee gets to have medical attention, and can they demand that office personel (coworker) be present when examinations are done by the Dr. ?

No, If you think you have an on the job injury go to your supervisor or boss and tell them you need to fill out the paperwork.  An employer can take you or drive you to your doctors appointment, and can go into the exam room with you, however if you tell the nurse or doctor that you don't want them in the exam room they must abide by what you say.  You are the patient.  So many people don't know this and are made to believe that the co worker or employer can go into the exam room with you.  

    Remember, Only if you let them.
