I'm the president of my class and it is our job to plan homecoming this year. Our theme is Under The Sea. If anyone has any good ideas, please let me know. Thanks=]

  1. You could decorate everything with ocean colors, possibly using large table or wall covers to create a feeling of being "in" the ocean.  Here's a site with a really cool "Ocean Adventure" pattern and some solid colored table covers and other decorations  http://www.clicket.com/Party-Supplies/Ge...

You could get some big nets, buckets, plastic fish, mermaids, any ocean accessory and use those as decorations.

  2. My school is doing this too this year....some ideas I came up with that I want to get my school on board with are:

window paint (by the entrance to the dance)

sidewalk chalk (can be done creatively in places around the school in huge letter with designs to let everyone know when HC is and to help get them excited about it)

seashells with people's names on them (as remembrances)

fish bowls with fake fish or broken ships inside for centerpieces

of course, blue/green streamers hanging from the concession area (like a commons or cafeteria) with hanging fish

those are a few of the ones I liked.........hope I helped get the creative juices flowing!

  3. Maybe your cheer leading squad could dress up as mermaids as people are arriving to help get people into the magic of the evening, before going to change into their dresses.

  4. try getting some really big roles of blue and light blue paper, and then make it wavy on top. put it on the sides of the room for homecoming. then, if you can find some sparkly blue things like streamers, put them up...  you could use a projector to draw sea life... then, you could a lamp with some blue bulbs next to a scene with a beach, or ocean thing behind it. that can be for pics... if you serve drinks, make them blue, or green, for the water theme... have blue or green balloons taped on the tables and doors... if you can, get a bunch of sparkley blue or green things, and put them on every door, and table or even next to the balloons... if you cant think of anything else, improvise... make cups and other stuff blue or green, or mixed. if you have someone really good with spraypaint, cover the walls with paper, or even newspapers from that year, and have them draw the school's mascott on it, or scenes from under the sea... like i said, just improvise a little, ask around for ideas... Good Luck!!!!
