Under Water Room Theme

Question

Ok I am redecorating my room and I want to make it look like I'm under water

But girlyish

like ute pink and plaid fish or something

Any ideas?!?!?

You could take the tie dye thing off your room first like paint all your walls white! than take a nice light light blue and paint it! then take fish stencils and put them in on that then all you do is paint the fish like pink and yellow! on the cieling u could paint the bottom of a boat!!

Also just think you are in Hawaii and you are under water, what would you see?? just have fun with it!!

Go buy sand paper.

Use double sided tape to put it around the base board of your room to make a 'sandy sea floor'.

Use foam board cut into shapes of coral.  Make enough to cover the bottom 1/3 of the wall.  

Take the pieces of 'coral' outside and paint with a roller in wild colors.  Use hairbrushes, combs, stamps, cookie cutters to make designs in the paint.  

On a few..... paint them and let them dry.  Then put a stencil over the top of them with a cool design such as little lines cut out all over.  Add some decoupage adhesive, allow to dry.  Then sprinkle sand all over the design.  Remove the stencil and then put even more decoupage adhesive onto the surface to lock the sand onto the coral so it won't flake off.

Paint the walls an ocean blue.

Make some hollow pieces of coral out of paper mache'.  Make them big and tall and textured.  On the inside of the 'coral' stick some white Christmas lights inside to add a lighting component to the room.  Or use the Christmas lights inside a round cheap see through disposable bowl.  Check the Ziplock brand bowls.  Put a lid on the bowl then cut a small hole in the lid.  Stuff the Christmas lights inside.  Now decorate the bowl to look like a jellyfish light with tentacles.

Put some screws or hooks in the corners of the room.  Strink three pieces of fishing line along the ceiling.  

Attach fish with fishing line onto these strings of fishing line at the ceiling in varying lengths to allow the fish to swim along the walls.

The bed should have long flowing lengths of seaweed for 'posts' on the bed.  You can make these out of painted fabric cut to look like seaweed.  

The bedding can be Shipwreck...a pier.... or covered in seashells..... or just be sand clored with reddish orange coral and white  pillows.  

Add white candles in a bowl of sand with seashells in the bottom of the bowl as decoration and to add that feminine touch to the room.
