Under these circumstances, should I be a jerk? ?

I treat people with respect and expect nothing but the same in return. However, sometimes people criticize me on something or say something rude to me and instead of responding...I simply "bite my tongue". I could unload on these people, but I choose not to...and for days after the "confrontation" I feel like c**p. I figure that its about time for me to put my foot down and put these people in their places. Just the very thought of it makes me smile. What do you think? Thanks!

  1. If they deserve it...sure.  But if it's not worth it, just be the better man and let it slide off your back like water.  Sometimes it's just not worth it and the better man will know.  And as for it making you feel like c**p...don't take anything seriously.  Sometimes they're just dumb people and other times who cares...you know who you are and you're comfortable with that.  So they'll get theirs in the end.

  2. you are right. it is better to respond than not to respond. you will get it out of your system if you do respond and that is good for your health and that is what really counts. as for the rest it is simply details.
