Under w/c INS.if one can died by car acct. on the way when he was going to join his duty he eligible for com?

his native at 'x' place he is doing job at 'y' place in week end he going to 'x' place to meet his family. he was return from 'x' place to 'y' place for joining his duty during this time an acident occures. what is your opinion?

  2. In general no. Travel to and from your home/lunch etc back to work is not covered by workers comp.  In most cases, the injury/death has to arise out of and in the scope of his employment.  Driving from home to work or lunch to work or weekend vacation to work does not qualify.  Now, if your job requires you to take the bank deposit - you go straight from work to the bank and on the way back you are involved in an accident - WC would apply. This trip was in the course of and scope of your employment.

    However, WC laws are different in each state.

  3. If the accident occured while commuting to a from work, it is not covered by WC.  If it occured during the course of work, it may be.
