so like a month ago i got a new kawasaki vulcan 500. ive dropped it twice. neway now when i shift into first some times it has trouble geting into gear and i hear a wierd sound. i have to lift my fot of a try again... sometimes multiple times. also now it sees to be leaking some wierd green liquid from the engine head, through a small hole in the side( it came with it). neway i was wondering if i coud get that fixed under warrenty. the first fall was like t 15 mph and on grass( it didnt slide or nething just sliped and fell on the side, the gear lever was pushed all the way up, but my uncle just pushed it back down) the second fall was staning still( it went too much too one side and i couldnt hold it up, i slowly laid it on the floor). i was wondering if it still was under warrenty because if a bike cant handle two small drops without such damage than wouldnt u consider that bad craftsmanship?

  1. check with your insurance first and have a chat with the mechanic if the leaks were also part of the damaged and if it does then the insurance will cover it

  2. It may be covered. But if you can't hold it up, you have too big of a bike for you.

  3. Stop dropping your motorcycle...are you riding on your lawn or something?

  4. Once  you  dropped it you were on your own warranty doesn't cover that  and they can tell what happened be fore you come

    up with a story.

  5. The test is whether a competent rider would do that, not whether you did.  Sounds like coolant, so you may have damaged a head gasket.  Needs to be taken care of ASAP, before it gets up to 4 figures to make the repair.

Dropping the bike is specifically excluded from warranty coverage, on most motorcycle warranties, its an abusive act, and abusing the bike because you bought a bike bigger than you can handle is simply failure to follow good advice.

  6. Kim.........  wrong you are. No one warrants crashing, dropping, falling over etc. You wreck it, you pretty much are its owner. These things arent made of cast iron.
