  1. under allegations of child negligence or child abuse.  


  2. My guess is for the same reasons any child could be taken.  My friend is trying to adopt and there are lots of things they have to keep up with to stay in compliance, so maybe if they broke the agreement. ( shes adopting from vietnam may be different within the us)

  3. from what i know- abuse is #1. if they find out something in the background that is detrimental to the care of the child (child molestation, domestic abuse etc.-either husband or wife)

    or if you have adopted 2 children from the same place, and one has passed away under "unknown circumstances".

    i don't know of anything else. other than if you chose an open adoption with the option to rework the legality. like if the parent asked that one day if they are capable, they could appeal to get the child back, but that is extremely rare. they usually don't secure adoptions for that (i have seen it) but instead, keep it in the fostering stage.
