  1. If you do anything wrong like speed or not put your turn signal on or even have a burned out brake light or head light even they can pull you over for that. I know for a fact they will take your permit from you and will not let you get your license until you 18. You may also have some court problems cause its considered joyriding so you may end up on probation. It happend to my freind when he was younger. So basically don't do it and just drive with your parents until your able to get your license.

  2. You don't have to be driving badly to get caught.  All it takes is for an officer to pull you over for tail light burned out and you're done for.  You could even be careful enough to check all your lights before you take the car out and one can burn out a few minutes after you start.

    You NEVER know.

This is a case where you are, marginally, smarter than your mother.  SHE is the one who gets into a world of financial hurt if something DOES happen and someone gets injured.  You may lose your driving privileges for a while, but she is being a horribly irresponsible parent for letting your do this.

Maybe it's time for you to act the gown up and just don't take any chances.  It's clear that she doesn't care.

  3. dont speed and be very cautios that way you  don't have to worry about being caught

  4. I agree with most of the answers already given.  The laws are there for a reason.  Most people have been pulled over at least once in their lives.  I for one am on the road and would be very pissed off if someone without a license or insurance hit my car.   If you do get pulled over for anything, even minor, saying "my mom said I could drive her car" is not a good excuse in traffic court.   I know her insurance is not going to cover someone who is not a license driver.

  5. I think a mother of the year award is in order.

don't risk it kid. It was only a few years ago when I first got my license but if you get caught, they probably won't let you have on until you're 18, not to mention the fat ticket and impounded car for driving without a license and insurance. And yes, they will impound the car. not kidding.

  6. Any little slip up or even looking to young  can get you pulled over. And when your mom is made about the huge fine tell you let me mom.

  7. They can have random checkpoints, you could have a brake light go out, or if you are involved in an accident (even if you are not at fault). You will lose the right to your license for a few years. Don't risk it.

  8. It is very dangerous what you are doing.  With that said, what police look for vary through out the different parts of the day/night.  Being too cautious can draw attention to yourself. If you are caught which may or may not happen, it will suck because you wont be able to get your license on time.

  9. They know where you live and what you are doing because you just told them. When you lose your license for a year or two next time you will follow the rules.

  10. jeez.. your mom should know better...

They can catch you at a check point, speeding, failing to yield, anything!

You could get in an accident, even if its NO fault of yours... bang, there you go, caught...  PLUS, you arent insured! your mom would regret her discision to let you drive the car when she has to pay for all those damages (for her vehicle and the other) out of pocket

Don't risk it...if you get caught, that means NO LICENSE for a few years...

  11. Good or not there are hundreds of ways that you can be caught and once you are you can kiss your license Good buy...

    Why take the chance ????

  12. "They" are smarter than you are. You are an inexperienced driver, and I don't care how great a driver your mom says you are, you will make a small mistake and a cop will notice. The first thing the cop will ask for is your driver's license, registration and proof of insurance. Your mom is exposing herself to tremendous financial risk by letting an unlicensed driver operate her vehicle.

  13. If you are driving without a licence, you have no insurance.  If you have an accident (even if it's the other person's fault), you may have to pay the entire cost.  Your mum might not be so happy when someone totals her car and she doesn't get a cent.

As for your comment of "even my mum told me" - I'm not sure that your mum is the best judge of anything, if she's the kind of person who would encourage you to drive illegally.  It sounds like you're a much more responsible person than she is!  Please use your own common sense and don't drive illegally.  Then you won't have to worry.
